1 Month Old!

I can't believe it has already been 1 month! Allie is growing well and we have more or less hit a groove on what to do. Here are some 1 month facts: -She is now sleeping in 4-5 hour increments at night!
-She eats like a mad woman right before bed!
-She can follow us with her eyes
-She has just started smiling when we play with her
-She is still a spitting image of her dad when he was her age
-She is loved and adored by all!
Here are some pictures that we took on our balcony. It is overcast today (we are on a tornado watch) so we decided to take advantage of the light. Enjoy!

My little Flower

Yesterday my visiting teacher had us come over and she took some pictures of little Allie.  She sent me this preview and I thought I would share.  You can go here to see her photography website. She did such a great job.  Thanks Gretchen!

More Allie!

We have just LOVED having little Allie in our lives and I can't believe how time has flown by since she has been here.
Some things we have noticed about Allie:
-She loves to have her hands up by her face at all times
-Eating tires her out to the core
-She makes some awesome faces which Mike likes to imitate
-Her eyes are getting lighter and are at a periwinkle stage right now
-She squeaks when she cries
-She only really cries when she is naked or getting her diaper changed
-She is LOVED by all family members
-She has Daddy's eyes and Mom's nose and toes

Here's Allie!

Introducing the newest member of the family, Allie Elizabeth Meldrum!  She weighs in at 6 lbs 14 oz and 19 tall.  She was born at 11:47 Monday morning and has been such a delight so far.
We went in at 6:00 am to be induced and around 9:00 I was ready for an epidural.  Mike got a little light headed during the Epidural and had to take a little break :).  Around 10:00 I had the epidural but it ended up only working on the right side.  After some really strong contractions and having them move the injection site around, it was time to push.  I had moved from a 3 to a 10 in about 2 hours and pushed for about 30 minutes.  She was moving well and then got a little stuck and her heart rate was dropping.  They ended up doing an episiotomy and with 1 more push she was here!  She is so adorable and at this point is sleeping soundly.  We love her!
