Football and Parties

So, I have been totally slacking in the updating department, so I decided to post a few pictures that we recently took and will have a bunch more after this weekend.  This first one is of Mike and I at the Florida football game where it was actually cool enough to wear long sleeves!  It got down into the 30's the night before and I LOVED it!  We ended up getting really warm at the game, but it was worth it.
This is a picture of my girls at Young Women's in Excellence right before they all started to laugh.  Each of the leaders did a project with a girl one on one, (not a very big YW group), and presented it that night.  It was so much fun to interact individually with the girls and we always have fun together. This is last night at Mike's Dean's Christmas Dinner Party.  The Dean throws a party at his house every Christmas and invites all of the students.  It is a beautiful log cabin and we were able to mingle with a bunch of Rx people.  It was delectable food and got to put some faces to names.

Two Inventions that I have realized are hard to live without!

This week as been a big one; We finally got our new dryer and I got a new Mac as my work computer!  We have been living without a dryer and a computer at home for about a month now and I could not be more grateful for these two inventions!  I cannot tell you how frustrating it is to try and air dry clothes and especially towels in 98% humidity.  You might as well try and teach a rock how to fetch.  Needless to say, we are now dry and fancy free!
Our computer cord died while we were trying to watch conference in October and have been without a computer, well basically without a computer for a month also.  If we held the cord in the perfect spot with one hand and tried to type one handed while holding the laptop on your lap... well, you get the picture.  So, it has been a great week!  To top it off, it has been a record setting week in temperature, it got down to the 30's last night.  Depending on who's opinion you are asking in our household, you will get differing answers.  I personally LOVE it and can bring out my other half of my wardrobe that I never get to wear for these precious few weeks that it gets cold.  YEA SWEATERS!!!

Halloween Fun!

Last night we got had FHE with Kelsy and Logan as our 2nd annual Pumpkin Carving Contest. Last year our 6 legged spider did not quite cut it, so we all decided to step it up this year and actually use some patterns. I would say that I was quite impressed with this year's results. Mike and I did the monster trick or treating together as there is a pumkin crisis this year. We searched all around Gainesville looking for pumpkins and finally found some but they were either too small or moldy. Kelse and Logan found some around town and were nice enough to pick one out for us. We also borrowed their carving tools, so we were not quite as prepared, but we decided we were going for "quality instead of speed" It was a fun night and we ended it with snickerdoodles! This was at our ward fall festival and to preface it a bit, everything at this party has to be somehow scripture/church related from the costumes to the trick or treating to the games we played. I was incharge of a game so we played "Scripture Twister" and you can guess how that went with a bunch of 9 year old boys. I think we ended up having a bubble blowing contest with all of the gum that they won from playing it so many times. I am proud to say that I held up the Naylor side of the family and won the contest. Little did I know that winning a bubble blowing contest could make cool with 9 year olds! This picture is of one of the rooms that was decorated for the "hallowed hallways" and it was Jonah and the Whale. It was quite creative and very cute.

New Couches!

Our Couches finally came in and the look great! We have been living on hand me down furniture ever since we have been married which has been great, but decided it was time to get a new couch when others would come over and either have to sit on the ground or our love seat which would make everyone fall into each other if more than one person sat on it. We ordered them about 8 weeks ago and they FINALLY came in. Now we can have people over and have a seat for them! This is not the only exciting new thing happening right now... they also painted our house! Now, this was quite an adventure because about 2 weeks ago we got a letter from our association saying that they were going to paint our townhomes all different colors, but we had no clue what colors they were talking about, so we had a bet and Mike guessed Blue and I guessed Brown... well, I won! As you can see, I think we got one of the best colors on our building. You might not be able to see very well, but the yellow one has a forrest green door, the teal has a yellow door, we have a blackish/grey door and the green one has a red door. Now, I would have liked the light green one, but enjoy our brown house. Below is a close up of our house and they are putting back up a new fence our front next week. Yea for free painting!
PS- Don't know how to turn it... so just look left:)

Workin' Hard

This was just taken of Me at work with the President of our Company playing legos... well, something like that. I am in charge of a Customer Service Conference for our company next week and one of the presentations includes using legos in a game about communication. Good thing I had him there or else people might have though I was not working!
