Our Couches finally came in and the look great! We have been living on hand me down furniture ever since we have been married which has been great, but decided it was time to get a new couch when others would come over and either have to sit on the ground or our love seat which would make everyone fall into each other if more than one person sat on it.
We ordered them about 8 weeks ago and they FINALLY came in. Now we can have people over and have a seat for them! This is not the only exciting new thing happening right now... they also painted our house!
Now, this was quite an adventure because about 2 weeks ago we got a letter from our association saying that they were going to paint our townhomes all different colors, but we had no clue what colors they were talking about, so we had a bet and Mike guessed Blue and I guessed Brown... well, I won! As you can see, I think we got one of the best colors on our building.
You might not be able to see very well, but the yellow one has a forrest green door, the teal has a yellow door, we have a blackish/grey door and the green one has a red door. Now, I would have liked the light green one, but enjoy our brown house. Below is a close up of our house and they are putting back up a new fence our front next week. Yea for free painting!

No fair! I have been wanting new couches forever. We have too been riding the hand-me-down train. But we may have waited too long. Now they are a jumping zone for Ty and soon Jordo, so maybe we'll just hash ours to death and in 10 years or so, finally make the new couch plunge!
I know what you mean about hand me downs. I think everything in our house is from someone elses house.I'm looking forward to the day that we can buy new furniture. Enjoy the new couches

Cute couches! I like the wood legs at the bottom. Very classy. I wish I could come and sit on them with you!
You are very lucky to have new couches!! You haven't been married that long, I think Ryan and I were married a good 8 years before we could afford buying our own furniture. I do remember that we bought our own car a few years after being married and that was a huge deal. They are beautiful I am sooo excited for you. I need new couches, but I am in the process of still getting a new kitchen so I won't complain.
