Allie has been overly excited for her birthday this year. Ever since Christmas, she knew her birthday was coming up, and kept asking "Is my birthday next?" Well, after finally getting through mom's birthday, dad's birthday, and valentines day, we are now ready for Allie's birthday celebration. All week she would wake up each day and asked, "Is today my birthday?" We told her that Grandma and Grandpa Meldrum were coming for her birthday, so as soon as they got here, she knew it was party time! So to make sure she understood, we filled her room with balloons for when she woke up on March 2nd. Instead she came out and asked, "How come there are balloons in my room?"
Close enough I guess.
And with that we moved on to the day of Allie!
Playing with all the wonderful balloons.
Both girls (and grandma) really loved playing around with them most of the morning.
They enjoyed using the static to stick the balloons to each other!
After all the balloons, we moved on to baking.
The beautiful cake that Rach made using the ingredients hand picked by Allie-o
(blue frosting, pink trim, and awesome pink sprinkles).
Allie and Hadley got to help with the sprinkles!
We had a small party with family and Allie was way excited to blow out the candle.
Left: Sweet Allie enjoying the thought of a birthday cake.
Right: Mischievous Allie trying to decide between a wish for a BIG dog or three small ones (at least that is what I would be wishing for)
Happy Birthday to our wonderful little 4 year old.
Its great to have your excitement, energy, laughter, singing, joy, and even your unlimited questions in our family.
