We were able to stay at Dr. Paris' wonderful condo in St. Augustine FL for a few days which was lovely since it was within walking distance to the beach! It turned out being perfect because Miles caught a case of Roseola (probably at Disneyworld) and was not feeling so great while we were there. We were able to let him nap in the condo while everyone else played and then switched off with him. Poor guy.
We arrived at the beach in the afternoon and the girls were walking along.... until they could see the beach. I think these pictures show how excited they were.
That first evening at the beach, only the girls and Mike had their swim suits on and we just walked the beach, looking for shells and playing in the sand. Much fun was had by all - the girls did not want to leave. We finally convinced them we would be back first thing in the morning, and we were. Allie said, while playing on the beach, that this was better than Disneyworld. Good to know, since it is a whole lot cheaper!
I was so glad that we had Mike's family there with us - I wasn't keeping track of 3 kids by myself.

We mostly had the beach to ourselves, not very many people by us most of the time which was really nice. The walk way from the condo property to the beach was far from the public access.
We stayed on the beach until the sun went down, so of course we had to get a cool sunset photo!
This is Allie channeling her Karate Kid.
Hadley did more of a dance.
Mike found a little crab - and now Allie is afraid of crabs and has bad dreams of crabs. Not the baby shark that we pet while on the pier or the dolphin we saw swimming near the beach. No... just the little tiny crab. Whatever.
This was our little turtle friend that lived by the bridge on the way to the beach.
The girls could have done this for hours - not so much for Mike and Grandpa
This is a family tradition - with many more feet now from where we started.
The sand was so soft and white - it squeaked when you walked on it.
Just a little sand-wedgie
Day 2 started off just like the first - running to the beach and lots of swimming and building sand castles with Grandma, Grandpa and Melanie. I took the camera back to the condo for safety so I don't have many more pictures of the other days, but let be honest... there are quite a few already.
Miles made it back out to play in the wade pool which was warmer and shallow. He enjoyed it once his fever left.
