It's a small world ...

We made the trek to Florida. Rach explained it as she wanted to let the kids go and see Grandma and Grandpa's house since we have not been back since we left. Then after I agreed we should go, it was revealed that we should also go to the happiest place on earth (which we may have different definitions of after the fact). So we made our family pilgrimage to the mouse house.

Outside the gates the first morning.
Everyone in coordinated Disney attire and happy to be awake so early in the morning.

Grandma and Grandpa got into the fun as well.
Grandma was even feeling frisky enough to dance with Allie while we waited.

Inside the park, we all got to ride some amazing rides.
Melanie enjoyed Dumbo with Hadley.

Everyone at the start of the Barnstormer roller coaster. You can tell that Allie is much more excited about this than her Grandparents. This was a little too scary for them, but they managed to white knuckle their way through.

Hadley and Grandpa went for a nice little drive together.

We all got to be a part of the story time with Belle. I was the brave knight, Allie was Maurice, Hadley was the horse, and everyone else was a perry pooper. At the end of the show we got to meet the guest of honor.

We made lots of new friends. Hadley got to meet Tinker Bell by herself since Allie wanted to ride Space Mountain with mom and dad (and she enjoyed it as well. She kept asking to go on all the roller coasters after that).

Minnie was a crowd favorite. At each stop they collected autographs in my old signature book from when I was their age.

 Ariel in her grotto.

Chip and Dale for the non-roller coaster crowd.  Hadley was just a few inches too short for the big rides.

Taking a break from the heat we went to the 3-D show.
Aunt Mel taught the girls "Hi, my name is Joe and I work in a button factory" to keep them entertained in line.  Worked like a charm and saved us from a few meltdowns.

Miles with the big man himself. He really enjoyed getting to see Mickey. He got a big kick out of interacting with him, and this may have been his favorite moment of the trip.

A family picture with Mickey.

Near the end of day two, we got another picture. We look a little worse for the wear at this point, but we had a great time together.

The Meldrum's have now officially done Disney!
Check!
