Allie turned 5 and all she wanted was a Frozen birthday party and and Elsa dress. Well, this was great, except every other little girl wanted the exact same thing in this country. Every Disney store was out of any and everything Frozen. I called some Disney stores looking for the little figurines and asked what day they got deliveries so I could call to see if they got anything new. One store in Scottsdale said that they could not tell me because they had to keep their delivery drivers safe. I guess some people were attacking the drivers for Frozen items. Crazy!
I ended up making her Elsa dress with a detachable cape so she could run around and not trip on it if she so desired. It is work all the time, along with the song Let it Go. Constantly.
A couple days before the party we went out for ice-cream at Baskin Robins which is right next to Fry's grocery store. At the end, I sent Mike over to Fry's to get some blue ice-cream for the party and while he was there he found a full set of figurines from Frozen. Disney was out but the grocery store had them? Whatever. We were just glad we found some. I also went to the effort of making a cake from scratch that was blue and had strawberries in-between the layers, and all they ate was the ice-cream and a few bites of cake. Next time I just need to do some cupcakes from a box and call it good.
We played pin the nose on Olaf and had all the the girls we invited wear their favorite princess dress.
We decorated some foam crowns with jewels and stickers and played some princess games
We had a snowball fight with paper and danced to music.
All the beautiful girls
Opening presents was like this... with each present. They also all wanted to sit by Allie all day, fighting to be right by her. Makes a girl feel special.
We celebrated her birthday the day before her actual birthday so on Sunday we had the traditional balloons in her room which Miles thought was pretty awesome. Entertainment for days.
We love our Allie girl and am amazed who she is becoming. She is friends with everyone, had such exuberance for life and loves learning. I can't believe she will be in Kindergarten next year!
