It's Halloween! This is a great day. We all get to get dressed up and eat sweet treats (I am trying to convince Rach that it is basically the same thing as a formal dinner)! This year the girls "decided" that we should dress up as Peter Pan (only took a little convincing to get Allie on board this year). So we found some great threads from Goodwill and made them all work.

A pirate's life is the life for me (and for little Smee!).
Miles even obliged by getting a little belly to hang out of his shirt.
Our neighborhood has a carnival with a bounce house, games, food, and treats. The girl's favorite part was the bounce house (Allie would have stayed inside the whole night if we let her).
Eventually we even took the girls out to beg for food. They came home with quite the haul, they each were so excited the next morning that they had to sort out the candy and see what they got (it also makes it easier to have the usual parenting tax of about 10%).
Halloween 2013 was a great success!
