We were a slipin' and a sliddin'

Well it was time for the yearly Phelps family slip n slide event. This is one of the highlights of the back to school season, and everyone was ready for the fun. Unfortunately this year, Rach was not able to participate in the festivities (since she felt that sliding down a giant hill on her belly was a bad idea when 8 months pregnant). That meant that I had to be the designated slip n slide pusher (since the girls can't seem to figure out how to run and slide down a giant slide by themselves).

This is how I spent half of the evening.
Pushing my children down the hill.

I guess on the plus side it was a good work out.

Later they decided that it would be better if I went down with them
(that way they could go a little faster).

Eventually they discovered that superman style was by far the fastest way down the hill!
(Don't worry, we only took out a few kids on the way down)
We spent the other half of the night using dad as a human toboggan!

It is a good thing these girls are so cute, otherwise I would not have been up for all that sliding.
It was a wonderful FHE with family.
