There have been some big changes around this house lately

#1 -  This little girl is now officially potty trained!  It started about 2 weeks ago when she wanted to wear her Ariel underwear, and in 2 short days she was pee-pee potty trained and a week later, she was fully potty trained!  She has been the one who wants to do it, so I decided to run with it and I am so glad I did.    The funny thing about pooping is that she would not do it while I was in the bathroom with her.  The first time she went in the potty, I  had put her on and then went to go finish the dishes.  I heard her saying "poo poo in the potty" so I ran over and she had done it!  She is now days without any accidents and doesn't even have a wet diaper at night.  Man, I really lucked out!

#2 - Big Girl Bed!  Allie got a big girl bed for Christmas from her Grandma and Grandpa Meldrum and easily made the switch in January from her crib to the bed.  She is really good about staying in bed until we come in and hasn't even fallen out!  We got bunk beds and just set up the top bunk on the floor so we could use the railings on the side.
The only bummer that goes along with this whole growing up thing is that she is now only an occasional napper.  It is about once every 3 days that she naps, but I guess you have to take the good with the bad.

#3 - We got a piano!  We lucked out and a girl in our complex was selling her fiancé's piano that they could not move with them and it was only $200!  It is in pretty good shape, a Kimball piano that was in a church the majority of its life.  Yea for getting a steal of a deal on a piano!

#4 Embracing the curl.  We recently decided that Allie has curly hair, so we decided to embrace it instead of fighting the crazy cowlicks.  I love it!  I scrunch her hair in the morning with some gel and she is good to go with her little curls.  Who knew Mike and I with totally straight hair would have a little girl with curls.

lots of good things!!! great job! jace started to potty train in the fall or summer and then one day he almost fell in the toilet (or so it felt like) and he wants nothing to do with it now!!! :) oh well, hopefully it will happen one day.

So excited for you! Having only one in diapers isn't something we've been able to do yet, but now I am optimistic for Brooke!

You know I hate you right now, right? Reed wants no.thing to do with potty training or a bed...and he rarely naps too.
