A few days after we moved in, my parents came into town to help us unpack and settle in and enjoy the Arizona weather. Well, most of that did not happen as well as planned, but we still had lots of fun! The week before they came was beautiful and in the 70s. The week they were here - it was the coldest week in Arizona in like 20 or 30 years - our pool even froze over! The day that they came, our heater died and we had someone come to check it out and the whole system needed to be replaced. Nothing like spending $7000 on a heater/AC system 3 days after you move in. Well, they could not get a new heater until about a week later so we had the coldest week ever with my parents here and no heater. That night my dad and Mike hit all the Walmarts, targets, Lowes, & Costcos around to find a space heater. No one had any in the valley but Mike was smart enough to think of getting electric blankets and they found some at walmart. Hooray!
The neighbors (that we did not know yet) also let us borrow their space heater so showering and getting ready would not be too awful. Luckily my parents made the best of it and we all had such a great time while they were here.
We had trips to the park, organized and fixed some things in the new house, helped clean and check out of our old apartment, and playing - lots of playing! We loved having you here mom and dad, thanks so much!
As usual, I forget to take pictures until almost the last day... but we had lots of fun!
My girls could swing FOREVER... and grandpa was so willing to push Hadley to her heart's content. We make it to the park about 2 times a day and because of that, their desire to go higher and higher on the swings has gotten to the point where I can give Allie an underdog as high as I can push and she still begs to go higher. Hadley goes pretty high too!
