The 4th of July (i.e. Mom's FAVORITE Holiday)

Rachel LOVES the 4th of July.
I don't completely get it, but I support her in her fanaticism.
So today we decided to celebrate the way Rachel would with lots of singing, dancing, and fireworks.

Come and join us on our patriotic journey.

I know you can't tell, but Hadley and I were super excited for her first 4th of July.

I decided to take on babysitting for the morning so Rachel
could get all ready for the big day (I help out where ever I can).

We all went to the ward breakfast (Mmm, muffins and juice, my favorite) dressed in red white and blue.

Then we went to a parade. It was Allie's first parade and it was great.
She sat with Aunt Mel and Grandma on the curb.

Watching the parade go by. It wasn't very good for floats and bands, but it was great for the candy!

Allie and Madison enjoying some of the candy they got. Don't worry there were three buckets full to take home later.

Mom and her girls dancing in the street!
That's my girl!

The Tingey's and Meldrum's after the parade. A great time was had by all.

In the afternoon we had a BBQ at the pool. Grandma decided spending time with Hadley was better than swimming (that's ok, Hadley was too cute).

At the end of the day we went to watch fireworks from the top of the hospital. Allie and Madison thought it was great to stay up late and play with friends.

They liked sitting in the big chairs and running around the office.

The fireworks started and we watched about four different shows across the city. THe last ones were almost right outside the window. It was a great day.
Hope you had a great time Rach.
